The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is hated by both gun lobbyists, domestic terrorists and members of outlaw motorcycle gangs because they partner with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement agencies across the country to try to track down illegal firearms traffickers and place them under arrest. Now that white supremacists, militia groups and outlaw motorcycle gangs have become key elements of the "Trump base", MAGA Republicans are pledging to use their Congressional Oversight authority to try to inhibit the ability of that Federal Agency to inhibit illegal firearms distribution.
